Role of Google Knowlege Graph in Web Search

In today's digital age, information is just a click away, thanks to search engines like Google. Behind the scenes, Google Knowledge Graph plays a pivotal role in organizing this vast ocean of data, providing users with quick and relevant information. To shed light on this fascinating technology, we're sitting down with Arif Rizvi, an expert in the field, to gain insights into the inner workings of the Google Knowledge Graph and its significance in our online experience.

David Bloom: First of all, thank you for your valuable time. Can you tell me what Google Knowledge Graph is and how it works?

Arif Rizvi: Thank you for having me. Well, with time, internet surfing has evolved. Nowadays, it's all about accessing information at a glance because time is of the essence, and time is money. For instance, if you want to know something about Tom Cruise, such as his age, the number of children he has, or his upcoming films, in the past, you would have had to search through multiple websites for these facts. Thanks to Google, this issue has been resolved, and you can now access all the relevant information on the first page of Google with just a click of his name. I'd be happy to provide you with a screenshot that you can publish on your platform to offer insight to those who may not be aware of this.

David Bloom: Can you tell me how you gained expertise in the Google Knowledge Graph/Panel?

Arif Rizvi: Well, I've been blogging since 2012, and writing is my passion. I started my first blog in November 2012, focusing mainly on tourism-related topics. Back in 2012, the web wasn't as easily navigable, and obtaining specific information was challenging. I aimed to provide as much useful information as possible on my website. For example, even in 2012, there were specific websites that provided information about distances between places. Today, when you input a location, Google Maps automatically provides options for distance, travel time, specific routes, and even traffic congestion. As I continued blogging, I became fascinated with search engine optimization (SEO). Over time, Google introduced the Google Knowledge Graph, making it easier for internet users to access specific information at a glance. However, this presented a challenge for brands that did not have a presence on the Knowledge Graph.

David Bloom: How does Google issue a Google Knowledge Graph/Panel?

Arif Rizvi: It's all about the notability of the subject. Google Knowledge Graph is only awarded to notable subjects, and there are specific criteria to achieve this. However, this is a detailed topic that might require more time than we have today. Perhaps we can schedule another session to delve deeper into this.

David Bloom: Do you offer services for Google Knowledge Graph?

Arif Rizvi: Yes, I do. I am active on UpWork and Freelancer.com, providing services since 2016. People can access my services through these platforms.

David Bloom: Thank you for sparing some time for us.

Arif Rizvi: Thank you.
